Hole in One Helps Justin Thomas Claim Lead at World Golf Championships Event

MEXICO CITY — Justin Thomas made a hole in one and surged into the lead with a five-under-par 66 on Saturday at the World Golf Championships event in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico.

Thomas hit a 6-iron from 239 yards that found the cup on the par-3 13th hole at Club de Golf Chapultepec. He added two birdies that gave him a one-shot lead over Dustin Johnson, with Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy two strokes back.
