WOLCOTT, Colo. –– In San Diego State head coach Leslie Spalding’s office is a board with a list of goals on it. At the top of that list: make it to the NCAA Championship.
“We talk about it a lot,” San Diego State senior Emma Henrikson said. “When we talk about goals, it’s always mentioned. That’s the No. 1 goal.”
The Aztecs’ women’s golf program has never made it past the NCAA Regional round. The team finished 11th last year at regionals after winning the Mountain West Conference Championship for the first time, and ended the season ranked 26th nationally.
