HARRISON, N.Y. – Brooke Henderson logged her second top-10 finish in a major championship Sunday.
With a tie for fifth at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, the 17-year-old Canadian also moved closer to winning LPGA membership for next year. She tied for 10th at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open.
Henderson closed Sunday at Westchester Country Club with a 2-under-par 71, leaving her tied with one of her childhood idols, Morgan Pressel, at 10-under 282. Henderson earned $132,725. That’s important because she’s playing the tour as a non-member and trying to earn membership. She can do so by winning or through top-40 equivalent earnings.
