Brooke Henderson on Wednesday received a special exemption into the Ricoh Women’s British Open.
The announcement, which was expected, means that the 17-year-old Canadian star will tee it up in the next two majors, beginning with next week’s U.S. Women’s Open.
The Women’s British Open is scheduled for July 30-Aug. 2 at Turnberry.
Henderson, now No. 46 in the Rolex Rankings, is coming off a tie for fifth at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
The LPGA allows non-members six sponsor exemptions, and Henderson has only one remaining: the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open, scheduled for Aug.
