One chapter of the Robert Allenby mystery in Hawaii has ended.
Owen Harbison, the Hawaii man who pleaded guilty in June to using Allenby’s credit cards and identification on a spending spree, was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison, according to The Associated Press, which cited the prosecutor’s office in Honolulu. Allenby, a longtime PGA Tour member, said he was beaten and robbed while in Honolulu in January for the Sony Open.
Harbison was arrested in February on identity theft and other charges after making purchases that included gift cards, jewelry and clothing.
