PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Brian Harman has had plenty of experience with the harder side of TPC Sawgrass, having broken par in just one of his eight previous trips around the Stadium Course.
That misfortune changed dramatically this year, with the fourth-year PGA Tour player posting four days under par and moving into contention with an opening nine of 33 on Sunday.
Harman struggled on his way in with a single bogey and eight pars and was tied for seventh when he completed his round.
“It’s the hardest tournament to win, the deepest field in golf,” said Harman, who finished at 8 under par following a closing 70.
