Haley Moore opened with a 6-under 66 at the AJGA's Yani Tseng Invitational, taking a three-shot lead in the 54-hole event.
Moore, of Escondido, Calif., made six birdies, two bogeys and an eagle in Round 1, shooting one of only two rounds in the 60s at Rancho Santa Fe (Calif.) Golf Club Monday.
Moore, who is No. 23 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings and committed to play at Arizona in 2016, leads Golfweek's No. 1 junior Andrea Lee by three shots. Lee, of Hermosa Beach, Calif., shot a 3-under 69. Lee is defending her title after winning the inaugural event last year.
