PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Well, one thing is clear about Adam Hadwin: He’s not afraid to go low.
The 29-year-old Canadian, who already has a 59 on the PGA Tour this season, came home in 6-under 29 to take the halfway lead at the Valspar Championship.
“Certainly something you don’t think is going to happen,” he said, “but I hit a lot of good shots today.”
Hadwin’s 10-under 132 total is one shot off the tournament record.
In January, he shot golf’s magic number during the third round of the CareerBuilder Challenge to rocket into the lead.
