NORTON, Mass. – Bill Haas is battling hard to the end to make his father’s U.S. Presidents Cup team with this final week of qualifying remaining a roller coaster of challenges.
With an opening triple bogey in Saturday’s second round, Haas put himself two shots outside the cutline at the Deutsche Bank Championship but scratched, clawed and climbed his way back inside to give himself two more rounds to try to make some magic and make the team.
Haas scrambled back from that triple bogey to shoot 71 and move a shot inside the cutline.
