Haas jokes about replacing Woods in marquee group

NAPA, Calif. – Playing in Thursday and Friday’s marquee group with Phil Mickelson and defending champion Emiliano Grillo, Bill Haas teed off at 7:50 a.m. (PT) on Day 2 in the worst of the day’s weather.

The threesome managed just three holes in blustery conditions before officials suspended play, a move that all involved appreciated.

“If we had not gotten to stop, it would have been very difficult for us,” Haas said. “Those three holes we started with this morning were very difficult. You couldn’t really even see your ball, it was raining and windy.
