OCALA, Fla. – What to call it? That move on the 18th green where Ha Na Jang twirled her club around like a sword, kneeled down and then threw her left elbow back emphatically. Chi Chi Rodriguez was the first name that came to mind, followed by Zorro.
Turns out Jang had seen the move on a YouTube video recently and gave it a try two weeks ago during a practice round at Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club.
“My ceremony lasso,” she said, referencing the Japanese-style Samurai twirl.
Jang, known on tour for her powerful fist pumps and electric smile, triumphed at the Coates Golf Championship after finishing runner-up four times in her rookie year.
