The wait is over for Greg Chalmers.
The 42-year-old clinched his first PGA Tour victory with an eagle at 18 to win the Barracuda Championship at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nev.
Chalmers finished the week with 43 points after his four-point day on Sunday. The eagle at 18 boosted him five points to give him a six-point victory over Gary Woodland.
Prior to this week, Chalmers led all active pros in starts without a victory. This week was his 387th Tour start, and the win came at the perfect time as it earned him a berth to his fourth career British Open.
