Graeme McDowell went out early on Friday at El Camaleon Golf Club and posted a sizzling 63, and it proved to be just enough to earn the solo lead.
Low scores were in vogue during the second round of the OHL Classic, as the Northern Irishman's score wasn't even the lowest of the day. That distinction belonged to Harold Varner III, who posted a 9-under 62 that put him to 10 under overall and two behind McDowell.
Jason Bohn (9 under, T-5) also had a 63 in the cards, and three others posted 65 or better in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, on Friday.
