LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Dreams do come true. Jason Day had dreamed of this day for so long. He was 13 years old when he set a goal of becoming the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world.
“I just always had a vision of me standing on top of the earth when I was a kid and knowing that right now there’s no one on this planet that’s better than me. That’s pretty cool,” he said. “Now I’m on top of the world.”
Day effectively won the BMW Championship by Friday, signing for rounds of 61-63 and tying a PGA Tour 36-hole scoring record of 124.
