SPRINGFIELD, New Jersey, July 30 (Reuters) - Saturday's third-round play at the PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club was suspended by the threat of lightning in the area.

The horn sounded at 2:15 p.m. ET (1815 GMT) and officials said they expected the delay to last at least an hour.

The suspension came before the leaders had teed off as Americans Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb, who shared the overnight lead at nine-under 131, were scheduled to begin third-round play at 2:55. (Reporting by Larry Fine; Editing by Mark Lamport-Stokes)
