LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England - Jimmy Mullen’s status as the lowest ranked Great Britain & Ireland player in this Walker Cup didn’t stop him from entering the history books. The English golfer became the fourth GB&I player to win all four of his matches in the biennial competition.
The 21-year-old joins Paul Casey and Luke Donald (1999) and Andrew Oldcorn (1983) as the only players to record four wins out of four in Walker Cup history.
Mullen entered the match ranked 93rd in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Yet he won both foursomes and singles sessions to help GB&I to victory.
