LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England – Nigel Edwards likes to stick to what he knows.
That philosophy has given his Great Britain & Ireland side a 10-6 lead heading into the final singles of the 45th Walker Cup at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club. His team just needs three-and-a-half points to win the Cup.
If they do, then Edwards’ foursomes planning will be seen as genius.
The GB&I captain stuck to the same tried-and-tested formula in the second foursomes session. He went with the exact same pairings, in the exact same order, he used in winning the first foursomes session 3-1.
