Gary Woodland switches up clubs at Sony Open

Gary Woodland, the long-hitting two-time Tour winner, mixed up his equipment and played the opening round of the Sony Open in Hawaii with new clubs.

Woodland was 7 under at Waialae Country Club and ended the second round tied for 16th, five shots behind leader Brandt Snedeker.

Woodland is using a TaylorMade M1 driver with a Mitsubishi Rayon Tensei 80X shaft, along with a TaylorMade AeroBurner 3-wood with a Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage 90X shaft.

For irons, Woodland is using a Titleist 716 T-MB 2-iron, along with Titleist 716 MB (3-9) irons. All his irons are fitted with KBS Tour C-Taper shafts.
