It was a topsy-turvy finish in Nashville at the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur, and in the end Karen Garcia came out on top.
The Cool, California native embodied her hometown's namesake late in the final at Hillwood Country Club, as Garcia won the last two holes of the match to win 1 up and take the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur title.
Garcia beat out Pamela Koung, of Wellesley Hills, Mass., in a match where just seven holes were halved.
This was the first appearance for Garcia, a high school counselor, at the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur.
