Garcia skipping Deutsche Bank in addition to Barclays

EDISON, N.J. – Sergio Garica will continue his postseason pass next week, skipping the Deutsche Bank Championship after also missing the playoff opener this week at Plainfield Country Club.

Garcia’s manager Carlos Rodriguez with Impact Point said the Spaniard is not injured and that he simply decided not to play. Garcia does plan to play the BMW Championship, the third of four playoff events, next month.

Garcia, who will skip the Deutsche Bank Championship for the third time in the last four years, is currently 31st on the FedEx Cup point list but is projected to drop to 42nd after this week’s Barclays.
