Furyk out of Prez Cup with injury, replaced by Holmes

Jim Furyk, sidelined in recent weeks with a wrist injury, will not be able to play the Presidents Cup and will be replaced by J.B. Holmes in the U.S. lineup, multiple sources have told GolfChannel.com.

Furyk withdrew from the BMW Championship and Tour Championship with a bone contusion on his left wrist and will not be able to compete next week at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, though he will serve as assistant captain.

According to regulations, U.S. captain Jay Haas is allowed to replace Furyk with another pick and he chose Holmes, who finished 12th on the U.
