LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Jim Furyk has been diagnosed with a bone contusion in his left wrist and is still uncertain for next week’s Tour Championship.
Furyk, who withdrew from the BMW Championship on Thursday after six holes, was examined by Dr. Andrew Weiland in New York.
Furyk won’t hit balls until early next week and will reassess Tuesday whether he is fit enough to play in the season finale.
If Furyk cannot play in the Oct. 8-11 Presidents Cup, captain Jay Haas will be able to add another player.
