MEDINAH, Ill. – Jim Furyk is at it again outside Windy City.
He vaulted up the early leaderboard at the BMW Championship with a bogey-free, 6-under 66 courtesy of four birdies and an eagle.
“Chicago has been good to me,” he said.
You think?
Furyk won the 2003 U.S. Open at Olympia Fields. He took this event, back when it was known as the Western Open, in 2005 at Cog Hill. And he shot 59 at the 2013 BMW at Conway Farms en route to a third-place finish.
That said, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows.
