Australia's Marcus Fraser rallied from a late deficit to claim the European Tour's Maybank Championship Malaysia, a victory that brought with it a spot in next month's WGC-Cadillac Championship.
Fraser was two shots behind Soomin Lee with three holes to play, but he emerged as the winner after Lee closed with a pair of double bogeys. Fraser salvaged a pair of scrambling pars to complete his round, and after playing his final 36 holes without a bogey the 37-year-old finished two shots clear of both Lee and Miguel Tabuena.
This marks Fraser's first European Tour win since 2010, and its timing could not be much better.
