NASSAU, Bahamas — When he arrived Tuesday, Chris Kirk sported a full beard. He was clean shaven by Thursday’s first round of the Hero World Challenge, however.
“Too hot. Just brutal in the heat,” Kirk said.
When he looked at his calendar late last week, Kirk knew he had a healthy stretch of time off on the horizon. Then, a curve ball. Now he’ll go from here to Naples, Fla., for the Franklin Templeton Shootout.
“I’m the defending champ,” Kirk said with a sly grin.
He’s not, of course, at least not officially. But if he wants to feel like one, he’s got that right.
