The Ohio State Scarlet Course lived up to its treacherous billing on Thursday at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship, as nobody shot better than 4 under and just 13 players broke 70.
Martin Flores and Alex Aragon navigated the dangers the best, as the pair shot opening-round 4-under 67s to take the early co-lead in Columbus, Ohio.
It was a fast start the propelled Aragon, as the 36-year-old American birdied three of his first four holes. From there, he posted just two more birdies versus one bogey, but it all added up to a front-running start,
Flores' card - five birdies, one bogey and 12 pars - proved identical but was pieced together in a slightly different manner.
