ORLANDO, Fla. – PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem had suggested in the past that his current contract with the circuit, which runs through June, may not be his last. On Wednesday at Bay Hill, he reiterated that his work in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., wasn’t finished.

“Looks like I’ll stay a little bit longer,” Finchem said. “We have a couple of projects our team wants me to hang in on.”

There is a Tour policy board meeting scheduled for Monday in Orlando, Fla., and Finchem said, “they may address it then.”

Finchem’s current contract with the Tour was for four years and many thought it would be his last when the circuit named Jay Monahan deputy commissioner and the heir apparent in 2014.
