NASSAU, Bahamas – PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem met with Tiger Woods on Wednesday morning at the Hero World Challenge and left that meeting optimistic, at least relative to current reports, that the former world No. 1 would get his health and game back on track.
“He seemed fine to me,” Finchem said. “I kidded with him because based on the media reports I read before I came down here this morning I thought he had actually died. I told him, ‘Tiger, I thought you were supposed to be dead.’”
On Tuesday, Woods said he had no timeline for his return to golf and that following his third back surgery in 18 months he has been limited to nothing more physical than walking and playing video games.
