The USGA announced on Thursday that Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, will serve as a U.S. Open final qualifying site on June 7. The site will be an additional venue in order to serve players competing on the PGA Tour at nearby Congaree Golf Club that week.
The Palmetto Championship at Congaree is a new event, replacing the RBC Canadian Open, which was canceled because of coronavirus restrictions. There will still be a U.S. Open final qualifying site in Canada.
The dozen 36-hole qualifiers will take place either May 24 (Texas, Japan) or June 7 (the other 10 qualifiers).
