China’s Simin Feng continued her bid to go wire to wire to medalist honors at the final stage of LPGA Q-School.
With an eagle to close out her round Friday, Feng shot a 3-under par 69 to take the solo lead at 12-under 204 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. She’s two shots ahead of American Cydney Clanton (69) and three ahead of South Korea’s Julie Yang (72), who shared the second-round lead with Feng.
“It’s a great feeling to play good early,” Feng said. “It feels great to be in the lead, but there are still two more days to go and many more holes to come so I just have to keep going.
