China’s Simin Feng extended her lead Saturday at the final stage of LPGA Q-School.
With a 3-under-par 69, Feng will take a five-shot lead into Sunday’s final round at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Feng, 15-under overall, has led or shared the lead through the first four rounds. South Korea’s Julie Yang (71) is tied for second with American Cydney Clanton (72).
“My mindset coming into the tournament was to try and win,” said Feng, who played the LPGA as a rookie last season, finishing 135th on the money list. “Instead of thinking top 20, I think trying to win gives you a little bit of an edge.
