If you’ve got a spot in the field at the 115th U.S. Open, Brad Faxon suggests the most essential item to pack is your attitude.
“I never would have said what Mike said,” Faxon said, referring to Mike Davis, the executive director of the USGA. “I don’t think it’s crucial to have experience with the course at Chambers Bay. I think the opposite. I think you’ll need a certain degree of nonchalance.”
Faxon, 53, an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour who played in 20 U.S. Opens, will be part of the Fox team that will provide the TV action for the June 18-21 event.
