Fatigued Ko WDs from Ochoa Invitational

Rolex world No. 1 Lydia Ko withdrew Friday from the Lorena Ochoa Invitational next week in Mexico.

Ko isn’t injured, her management team says, just in need of some extra rest.

“Yes, just fatigue from four weeks of tournaments in Asia,” said IMG’s Michael Yim, Ko’s agent. “She wants to be ready and recharged heading into CME.”

Ko has clinched the No. 1 spot in the points reset for the $1 million jackpot at stake in the season-long Race to the CME Globe finale in Naples, Fla., Nov. 19-22. Ko played four weeks in a row in Asia before taking off this week to return to her U.
