Ulsterman Graeme McDowell knocked off Scotland's Russell Knox and American Jason Bohn on the first playoff hole to win the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on Monday.
McDowell was the first to post 18-under 266 and the first – and only – player to birdie the first playoff hole as he stuffed a 5-iron on No. 18 to inside of 3 feet. Knox, who missed the green, and Bohn, who left a lengthy birdie putt short, left McDowell with that short putt for his first victory on the PGA Tour since 201, when he defeated Webb Simpson in a playoff at Harbour Town.
