Australian Greg Chalmers racked up 43 points to win the Barracuda Championship at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nev. The Aussie won for the first time in 385 tries on Tour as he defeated American Gary Woodland by six points in the Modified Stableford Scoring System event. Yank Colt Knost finished alone in third.
So long “PGA Tour player with the most starts never to have won” title! The Aussie has had plenty of big wins in his homeland but that hardly interests gamers over here. Sure, it can be a harbinger of things to come on these shores but 384 prior events makes an argument that it didn’t.
