Nick Faldo has had a change of heart. This year will be the last Open he plays at St. Andrews, but it won't be his last Open.
The six-time major champion announced in April his intent to play his final Open Championship this July but unveiled a new retirement plan on Monday:
New plan--Troon was first Open I attended & Birkdale the first I played--'15 will be last at St Andrew's but I plan to be fit; play 2 more!

Faldo's decision will now allow Tom Watson, who is retiring from The Open, to stand alone in the spotlight whenever he crosses Swilcan Bridge for the last time - be it Friday or Sunday.
