LONGWOOD, Fla. – The scene on the range looked quite familiar, Vicky Hurst, rockin’ the signature Kangol hat as her mother Koko looked on. It could’ve been 2008, when a teen-aged Hurst burst onto what was then known as the Duramed Futures Tour and won five times.
For the most part, she looks exactly the same. Her face graces the side of the tour’s mobile van. But until this season, the former Solheim Cup player hadn’t been back to the Symetra Tour since that blowout year. And quite frankly, nobody would’ve expected a return. A lingering left wrist injury, however, sent her back to the minors in 2015, where she’s hoping to shore up full status in the next two events.
