Every gets no release from freeze-outs

ORLANDO, Fla. – Matt Every calls it a “blackout,” but a better description of the ailment he’s been dealing with for more than two years would be “freeze-out.”

“You freeze over it [a shot] and you tense up and nothing, you can't ... it's hard to release the club when you're doing that,” said Every, the winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational the last two years.

Every said these “blackouts” began in 2015 at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and that they normally occur when he’s hitting driver and lead to a wild shot out to the right.
