CHASKA, Minn. – The Europeans have been battling boisterous American fans through the first two days of the Ryder Cup and aren’t expecting much to change in Sunday’s singles.
With play beginning Saturday morning, Ryder Cup officials made an announcement asking fans at the first tee to be “respectful” of players from both teams, but, of course, there were some issues.
Rory McIlroy had a fan ejected for a foul taunt during Saturday’s afternoon fourballs.
In Friday’s play, a fan heckling Sergio Garcia was removed.
Danny Willett may have endured the worst of it all this week.
