When he missed his fourth cut of the season at The Barclays in late August, it was a double jolt for Adam Scott.
First, he had missed just one cut in the previous three seasons combined.
Second, the MC at Plainfield Country Club meant his season was over with the calendar still turned to warm summer weather and only once in his 12-year PGA Tour career had he not taken his play into at least mid-September.
Still, the Aussie seemed almost relieved that the unbalanced 2014-15 campaign had come to an end. He conceded that he didn’t like waiting until early March to get his season going, but the birth of his first child (in February) was worth it.
