England still craves its first British Open winner since Nick Faldo in 1992 at Muirfield

The last English man to sip from the Claret Jug happens to be an American golfer. Harris English – an English man, technically speaking – flew home from St. Andrews last summer with British Open champion Zach Johnson. English said he would love to pour some good bourbon in there, if given another chance.

“It would taste a lot better if the trophy was my own,” he said.

England, with a batch of chronically promising players, still craves its first winner since Nick Faldo claimed his third Claret Jug in 1992 at Muirfield.
