With Nepal on her mind in a late rally Friday at the North Texas Shootout, Rolex world No. 1 Lydia Ko battled to keep her perfect cut streak alive.
Ko’s effort kept her pledge in play to donate her winnings to relief efforts benefitting victims of the devastating earthquake in Nepal. If she had missed the cut, there would have been no winnings to donate.
“All day I was thinking, make some birdies for the kids in Nepal, that's my big goal,” Ko said. “I think if I was just missing the cut, yes, I would be disappointed.
