The European Tour announced Monday that Dundonald Links in North Ayrshire, Scotland, will play host to the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open for the first time in 2017.
The 7,100-yard, par-72 layout hosted the Ladies' Scottish Open last year, a field that included world No. 1 Lydia Ko. Since that event, the course has undergone renovations, including the construction of a new clubhouse, which are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
"We are delighted to announce that the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open will be staged at Dundonald Links in 2017," European Tour chief executive Keith Pelley said in a statement.
