PARIS — Victor Dubuisson birdied three of his last seven holes to share the lead on 3-under 68 midway through the first round of his home French Open on Thursday.
Dubuisson, one of 29 French players in the field, was tied with Austria's Bernd Wiesberger at Le Golf National — the course that will host the Ryder Cup in 2018.
A superb approach shot that span back to within a foot of the pin on No. 5 was among the highlights of Dubuisson's round, which start on the 10th hole. He also birdied the third and seventh holes after reaching the turn at level par.
