Jamie Donaldson, who as a Ryder Cup rookie went 3-1 and delivered the clinching point during Europe's 16 ½ to 11 ½ win over the Americans at Gleneagles in 2014 (and, understandably, was still drunk the next morning from celebrating all night), becomes the second player in recent memory to have an unfortunate mishap with a chainsaw. Greg Norman, you may recall, underwent surgery to repair nerve damage in his left hand after a chainsaw accident two years ago.

Donaldson posted the following to Twitter on Monday:

So folks in my time off decided to have a fight with a chainsaw and lost!
