TURNBERRY, Scotland – Donald Trump plans to be at Trump Turnberry on Thursday for the start of the Ricoh Women’s British Open. There’s a helipad just in front of the iconic hotel, and one would expect the outspoken U.S. presidential candidate to make nothing short of a grand entrance.
Most LPGA players don’t want to talk about Trump. They’d prefer not to mix golf and politics, but there’s no escaping this story. Especially because, as the billionaire American developer and reality-TV star likes to remind everyone, he owns the place.
“I own Turnberry, in Scotland, one of great resorts in world,” Trump tweeted.
