SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – This time, it was the first hole that wrecked Dustin Johnson in the final round of the PGA Championship.
Five years after a bunker fiasco on the final hole cost him a spot in a playoff at Whistling Straits, Johnson opened his closing round with a quadruple bogey.
Johnson started the final round six off the lead, but quickly fell 10 back.
“I drove it, just pushed it a little bit to the right on the first hole, one foot in the bunker, one foot out. I actually thought I hit a great shot from where I was,” Johnson said.
