DJ again comes up short with shot at major glory

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Dustin Johnson has had numerous late collapses in major championships. The 72nd-hole three-putt last year at the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay and the bunker mishap in 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits are the two that immediately spring to mind.

So, if ever Johnson were going to win a major championship, reason would suggest that he would need to win one coming from behind, with the help of a leader faltering.

Sound familiar?

Johnson began the day three shots behind Jordan Spieth, but promptly made double bogey on the par-4 fifth hole to become an afterthought.
