Dillon Baxter, a 2016 recruit from Lake Travis High in Austin, Texas, recently gave his verbal commitment to SMU.
Baxter, ranked 47th among Class of 2016 recruits in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings, chose the Mustangs over Stanford, Baylor, Texas Tech, Rice and San Diego, all of which he visited.
"I’ve loved SMU since the first time I visited," Baxter said. "Coach (Jason) Enloe is a great coach with valuable playing experience, the new course and facilities at Trinity Forest will be an amazing place to improve my game, and SMU has a phenomenal business school where I can get a great education.
