Derek Fathauer takes over lead at OHL Classic

In rainy conditions at El Camaleon Golf Club, Derek Fathauer surged to the top.

The American posted a second consecutive 66 on Saturday at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba for a 16-under 197 total. Jason Bohn, no stranger to low rounds himself, has gone 63-65 over his last 36 holes and sits solo second one back. Russell Knox, Justin Leonard, Graeme McDowell and Harold Varner III are in a four-way tie for third at 13 under.

Fathauer's charge to the top wasn't fast-paced, but it proved consistent. Four spread-out birdies paced him out in 32, and one more on the backside nailed him to his 5-under total for the day.
